Volunteer Day - Site maintenance Be part of something amazing! Meet new people, improve your physical and mental wellbeing, share your skills and learn new ones - all while supporting your local Community Forest. Join us for a volunteer day on Thursday 20th August and help us with site maintenance at the Millennium Country Park, Marston Moretaine. We would really appreciate your help! Help us care for the Millennium Country Park by taking part in a general site maintenance volunteer day. Tasks may include repairing and maintaining infrastructure such as paths, fences, benches and signage to help keep the Park safe, welcoming and accessible for both people and wildlife. By looking after these important features, you’ll be helping visitors enjoy the Park while supporting the long-term care of this valuable green space. What you need to know: Meet outside the barn at the Millennium Country Park, Marston Moretaine at 9.30am (you can go to the reception at the Forest Centre if you are unsure where the barn is) Please wear old clothes and sturdy footwear with good ankle support Parking charges do not apply when volunteering - please make sure that you give your registration number when you sign in for your task Free tea and coffee is provided Activities are subject to change, depending on weather and staff resources on the day These volunteer days are not suitable for children to attend, or for dogs Please contact our ranger team on the below email address to register your interest, or if you have any questions about the day To help us plan and manage resources it is essential that you register your interest.
